Qualifications
Shyne qualified in 2004 with an honours degree in Physiotherapy and subsequently completed a Masters in Neuro Physiotherapy in 2007. He is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists. He has done further post graduate training in dry needling, as well as sports injuries and taping. He is also qualified in gait and biomechanical analysis and can assess for orthotics and prescription insoles for the management of foot problems. He has done numerous other courses in particular in the area of vestibular rehabilitation and the treatment of ‘Benign Paroxsymal Positional Vertigo’ or BPPV.
Experience
Shyne has over 15 year’s clinical experience. During this time he has gained vast knowledge and experience in treating musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and sports injuries, including back and neck pain, to hip knee and shoulder pain and trement of related injuries. He has worked in private practices during this time as well as the lead Physiotherapist for one of Galway’s largest medical device companies, treating numerous occupational and work related injuries. He also has a keen interest in complex neurological conditions and currently runs the vestibular rehabilitation programme for patients with ‘Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo’ BPPV at Knocknacarra Physiotherapy. He also provides specialist classes to cancer patients as part of their cancer rehabilitation programme.
